The City Of Greenville is working to put together its budget for the upcoming fiscal year. The proposed budget totals over 270 million dollars and will have to be approved by the Greenville City Council.
City officials say a tax increase is not expected to come with the new budget. However, an increase in solid waste fees is set to start next month. That comes after an increase in wastewater fees was imposed last year.
The budget is expected to include an additional investment of over a million dollars towards the Greenville's Capital Improvement Program.
The top budget priorities include public safety, transportation, economic development and affordable housing.
