A non-profit group at a local university that helps to train service dogs is holding a fundraiser next month. The Clemson chapter of Canine Companions now has 4 dogs being trained on the University's campus and is looking to expand.
The volunteers at Clemson help raise the specially bred puppies and the campus gives the dogs a chance to be around groups of people. Clemson Canine Companions is looking to raise money for their program by hosting a 5K run and walk.
The event will be held October 8th at Nettles Park in Clemson, check in starts at 8 AM that morning with the race to follow at 10 AM. Registration is 50 dollars. For more info visit https://clemson-canine-companions.square.site.
