Congressman Jeff Duncan Monday delivered a personal announcement on the house floor that his first grandchild had been born.
Duncan made the same announcement in a press release Tuesday that he is now a grandfather after his first grandchild was born on Monday.
“We are excited to announce the birth of our first grandchild, John Waylon Duncan. John Waylon ‘J.W.’ was born Monday in Lexington, South Carolina, weighing a healthy 8 lbs. and 4 oz. and measuring 22 inches,” Duncan said in the press release. “We are thrilled to be grandparents and are so happy for our son, J.P., and his wife, Lexi, as they welcome their son into the world. We are filled with gratitude for this blessing and give thanks to God for this wonderful gift!”
The child, a healthy eight-pound boy named John Waylon Duncan, was born Monday afternoon in Lexington.
