Ground has been broken on a project to put a pedestrian bridge over a busy stretch of Upstate highway. Construction is underway on a new bridge that would allow people to walk over I-385 in Greenville County.
Ongoing construction near the Bridges Road exit is part of the project. The walk over bridge is expected to sit over top of all 6 lanes of 385 when completed. The bridge is expected to be finished by the end of this year and is being done in hopes of increasing connectivity to new developments.
