The now young man, who was a teenager when he was convicted of a fatal school shooting in the Upstate, is set to appear in court Monday.
In September of 2016, a 1st grader at Townville Elementary School was shot and died at the hospital, three days later. Two other students and a teacher were also shot and injured in the incident. A Volunteer Fire Fighter intervened in the shooting and former Townville Elementary student, Jeffrey Osborne was apprehended.
Investigators say, they learned that Osborne had shot and killed his father that same day. Osborne was 14 years old at the time of the shooting and was tried as an adult in 2018. He pled guilty to two counts of murder and multiple counts of attempted murder and weapons violations. He was sentenced to life in prison, plus 30 years.
Earlier this year, Osborne filed several motions asking the court to reconsider his sentence. Osborne's motion hearing is slated for Monday afternoon at 2 PM.
