Cousins Arrested in DMV Armed Robbery

On March 5, 2025, cousins Rashonda Hollingsworth and Michael Hollingsworth robbed, at gunpoint, the Department of Motor Vehicles office on Belt Road in Chester, South Carolina. According to the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, the crime was caught on surveillance cameras.

According to an arrest warrant, the pair got away with a bank bag containing more than $12,000 in cash and $8,000 in checks.

On Tuesday, 43-year-old Rashonda Hollingsworth was arrested and charged with criminal conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

Investigators say she drove the getaway car. She’s now in custody at the Chester County Detention Center.

Her cousin, 43-year-old Michael Hollingsworth, was arrested on September 23, 2025.

He remains behind bars in the Chester County Detention Center, bond denied. Michael Hollingsworth is charged with armed robbery, weapons possession and criminal conspiracy.
