Protesters gathered in Downtown Greenville over the weekend. On Sunday afternoon, a group took to the streets near the Peace Center to voice their issues with ICE and their deportation of illegal immigrants.
Signs lined both sides of the street one such sign said "My father is not a criminal, but your President is". Another sign said "Jesus was an immigrant".
The protests come just days after one Mexican national was indicted by a federal grand jury in Greenville after being arrested for DUI and domestic violence on multiple occasions, after entering the U.S. illegally and being deported three times prior to his latest indictment.
