A suspect is in custody after an attempted armed robbery at an Upstate store. The Greenville Police Department responded to an armed robbery at the Costco on Woodruff Road.
Investigators say, a man came into the store went to the jewelry counter and tried to pull a robbery. The suspect who has not been identified was detained by customers until police arrived.
The Sheriff's Office says the man was armed with a machete and a pickaxe. No further details have been released, as of this time.
