Several Sheriff’s Offices around the Upstate are hosting a drug disposal day event this Saturday, October 28th.
This event, in partnership with the Drug Enforcement Administration, is the 24th event of its kind held through these law enforcement agency partnerships.
Individuals can drop off expired and/or unused medications and several upstate locations from 10am to 2pm Saturday.
Drop off locations include 29 Ridgeway Drive in Greenville, the CVS Pharmacy at 87 Garner Road in Spartanburg, and the Oconee County Law Enforcement Center at 300 Church Street in Walhalla.
The event is meant to aid in the prevention of pill abuse or theft by removing these items from Upstate homes.
