More details have been released as a Western North Carolina woman is facing charges in two separate murder cases nearly two decades apart.

As we previously reported, 52 year old Gudrun Casper Leinenkugel was arrested last week on two counts of 1st degree murder, attempted murder and distribution of a poisonous food or beverage.

Court records show, Leinenkugel served wine to three people, including two of her daughter during Thanksgiving. One of the daughters identified as Leela Livis died December 1st, after all three became ill.

The Henderson County Sheriff's Office says they also found evidence linking the suspect to the 2007 murder of Michael Schmidt, who died in a house fire there. Leinenkugel will be back in court next month.
