A devastating crash in North Georgia earlier this week, left five people dead including the wife and two children of a Hall County Deputy. The crash happened Sunday when Avonlea Holtzlcaw, the wife of Deputy Patrick Holtzclaw was crossing Highway 23 in Habersham County and was hit by a Chevy Corvette.
The woman and their two children ages 5 and 6 years old, died in the collision. The two people in the Corvette also died, the driver has been identified as 58 year old, Mitchell Boggs.
Authorities report that the Corvette was traveling around 150 miles per hour just prior to the crash.
