Officials say clean up efforts are ongoing after diesel fuel spilled into an Upstate creek. Kinder Morgan Gas says, diesel leaked out from its pipeline facility in Spartanburg County, around 10PM Sunday night.

State officials report that diesel went into a basin and later flowed into Four Mile Branch Creek. An estimated 2,000 gallons was spilled. State and EPA crews are working with Kinder Morgan to get the spill cleaned up.

The State Department of Environmental Services says that an equipment failure led to the spill and the cause of that failure is under investigation.
