The U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics says the average cost of a dozen Grade A large eggs nationwide was $4.15 in December. Reported bird flu outbreaks have risen and the cost could also do so significantly. The USDA predicts consumer costs for eggs will rise 20% throughout 2025.
