We have seen in recent weeks in various places in America, groups protesting at private residences of public officials. On Tuesday night, the Greenville County Council introduced an ordinance that it would make it illegal to protest at any private residence in Greenville County. Activist Bruce Wilson was on hand to speak against that proposed ordinance. Wilson feels that the ordinance if adopted would impeded the constitutionally protected right to protest. There were those who spoke in favor of the ordinance at the meeting as well, citing that government officials have the right to privacy in their homes. I think many people see it as the old adage "my freedom ends , where yours begins". What do you think? Is making protests illegal at private residences a violation of the Constitution?
