Campaign finance has been a topic of debate for years now. It seems that in politics, if a candidate don't have major financial backing they can't win. Some candidates have been outspoken about reform for campaign financing and limiting the amount that can be contributed to campaigns. In South Carolina, it recently came out that U.S. Representative from the low country Nancy Mace has raised 2.5 million for her re-election campaign.
