A now former teacher and coach from Georgia is facing a list of child sex crime charges. Geoffrey Bard Matthews, a former Assistant Baseball Coach at Bremen High School in West Georgia stands accused of a multitude of child sex crimes.
A jury has indicted him on dozens of charges. That came after a victim 1st came forward and reported that Matthews had sexually abused them over a period of five years, starting when they were 12 year old.
Matthews is charged with multiple counts of sexual assault and grooming of a child. He's also charged with over two dozen counts of child molestation. Officials say, Matthews targeted multiple child victims.
The wrestling social media page, Wrestling History from Georgia reports that Matthews used to wrestle under the name Brad Lynch. The page says he competed for indy wrestling promotions in the Northwest Georgia area. They do not believe promoters who booked him knew anything of the sexual abuse allegations.
