A shoplifting investigation at a Western North Carolina Walmart has led to drug trafficking charges. Police responded to the Walmart in Sylva after a report that a woman was switching barcodes on merchandise to lower the prices. The Sylva Police Department says, 61 year old Janet Orcutt admitted to switching the prices.
They say a search of her purse uncovered more than an ounce of cocaine and over 575 dollars in cash. Orcutt is charged with cocaine trafficking and other drug crimes.
