Usually police make traffic stops prior to making arrests, however in Western North Carolina already stopped traffic led to the seizure of guns, drugs, and cash.
The Rutherford County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit was patrolling in Forest City Monday, when they discovered a vehicle parked in the roadway.
Investigators approached the vehicle and found two people inside and later they found much more. Deputies were familiar with both suspects and searched the vehicle. Inside the vehicle they found over 130 grams of Fentanyl in both pill and powder form, 20 grams of meth, over $1,200 in cash and two handguns.
Both suspects, 27 year old Moesha Desha Carson and 33 year old Joshua Matthew Brown were taken into custody.
Carson is charged with trafficking Fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute meth and a weapons violation. Brown is charged with two weapons violations.
