A suspect is facing child sex crime charges after his alleged victim birthed a baby in the parking lot of an Upstate hospital.
The Oconee County Sheriff's Office says 43 year old, Luis Armando Montejo was arrested Thursday on charges of 2nd degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor and incest.
The investigation started last week after the juvenile victim gave birth to a baby in the parking lot of Oconee Memorial Hospital. Investigators are still trying to determine who the father of the baby is.
However, they say Montejo sexually abused the underaged victim between 2022 and last year. The Sheriff's Office says Montejo has been placed on an ICE detainer, as well.
