An investigation is ongoing after a sexual assault at a prison here in South Carolina. SLED and the Department of Corrections says 23 year old inmate, Timothy Darren Sherard Jr. sexually assaulted an employee at the McCormick Correctional Institute, Wednesday.
Officials say the employee is being treated at a local hospital. Sherard is slated to be moved to another institution. Charges against him are expected to be announced once arrest warrants against him are served.
