An Upstate Sheriff's Office took a different kind of escapee into custody, over the weekend. Spartanburg County Deputies responded after a kangaroo was spotted on Highway 221 in the Mayo Community, Friday.
Deputies were able to safely corral the kangaroo .It is legal to own kangaroos in South Carolina without a special permit. The animal is being relocated to a wildlife rescue in North Carolina.
