He is from Illinois and was pulled over by State Transport Police near White Horse Road in Greenville due to a missing license plate on the trailer of the 18 wheeler, he was driving.
Lewis said " For him to be traveling on the interstate and not have everything in order, and for it not be registered, certainly set off a warning flag. He (suspect) has some previous charges that made this officer feel this (bomb situation) could be possible. Especially with the most recent events in America, so there was a lot of moving parts and pieces."
The incident shut down I85 in both directions until it was re-opened around 7:30PM. No bomb was found in the investigation. Al-Hinde is charged with Breach Of Peace, False Bomb Threat and a registration violation. He is in the custody of the State Transport Police.
