Family dispute leads to weekend shooting in the Upstate

An investigation is ongoing after a reported family dispute led to a weekend shooting in the Upstate. The Oconee County Sheriff's Office responded to a home off of Coffee Road near Walhalla, around 10:15 Sunday night.

Upon arrival, deputies found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. Investigators say the man who was shot had come to the home and a fight ensued between him and the property owner.

A 3rd party was on hand and tried to break up the fight, however the fight contiued. The 3rd party pulled a gun and fired hitting the man who had come to the house. No other injuries were reported. As of the time of this report, The Sheriff's Office says no arrests have been made.
