The family of a teenage employee who was killed after a crash at an Upstate amusement park held a press conference, Thursday. As we previously reported, 17 year old Kamel Seveion Sewell was on a go kart at Frankie's Fun park in Greenville, when it collided with a forklift on Dec. 27th.
Sewell's death was ruled accidental, he was a Junior at Fountain Inn High School. During the press conference, Sewell's mother and oldest sister talked about how Seveion was working at Frankie's and Whataburger, so he could buy a car.
The mother said she was at the DMV last Friday, getting tags for his car when she was notified of his death.
No formal lawsuit has been filed, as of this time. However, the family has hired Greenville based attorney Ryan James to investigate the incident, independent of OSHA's investigation.
