Over a year later, the family of a man who was fatally gunned down in Western North Carolina is still searching for answers. On April 12th of last year, 27 year old Lamichael Shawn Carter was found shot to death in the roadway of Fairfax Avenue in Asheville.
Now over 12 months after Carter was killed, the case remains unsolved. Asheville Police Detectives say the case remains an ongoing investigation and they are still working to find answers for the family.
Carter's family believes that someone in Western North Carolina knows who's responsible and what happened. They are pleading with the public to assist in helping them get justice.
