29 year old, Nathan Drew Morgan was shot and killed at Fall Creek Landing near Salem Tuesday Afternoon. The Oconee County Sheriff's Office says the shooting happened after an altercation between Morgan and a man on a pontoon boat.

Investigators say Morgan and a woman were in distress in the water after being thrown from the jet ski they were riding. The couple on the pontoon helped them out of water and brought them aboard. Morgan allegedly became agitated and assaulted the man, who then shot Morgan claiming he was in fear for his life.
