A death on a dark road in Western North Carolina last month which had been written up as a hit-and-run pedestrian, accident has now become a homicide case.
The Buncombe County Sheriff's office says autopsy results revealed injuries to the victim, 71-year-old Saeid Mohammad Khoshnoud, were not consistent with a vehicle vs pedestrian accident.
He died shortly after reaching reaching Mission Hospital on June 9th. Now state and county investigators are looking for a car that was seen in the area around 11 pm. That was shortly before Khoshnoud was found in the roadway.
The vehicle is said to be a gray or silver Nissan Rogue.
