The surviving fiancé' of a man killed after a work place accident last year in the Low Country is suing the utility company, who owned the site where he died.
23 year old, Cody Jordan died while operating a bulldozer at the Santee Cooper Generating Station in Georgetown County. Jordan was operating a bulldozer when it fell into a hidden void at the top of a coal pile.
Jordan's fiancé', Jessica Bishop has now filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Santee Cooper. The suit claims the company did not warn Jordan of the potential hazards.
Jordan's bulldozer fell into the coal pile and his body was found the following day, buried under 50 feet of coal. Jordan left behind his fiancé and a young child.
