Filing opens for Special GOP Primary For U.S. Senate Seat

Filing opened Tuesday at noon for those vying for South Carolina's Republican U.S. Senate nomination. Earlier this month, Greenville businessman Mark Lynch, said he would make another run, after being defeated by the late senator in June.

First District Congressman Russell Fry shared via social media, Monday he's entering the race. This past weekend Duke Buckner and Fifth District Congressman Ralph Norman announced their candidacy for the seat.


President Trump says Darline Graham, the sister of the late Lindsey Graham, has his support to run for a full term to replace her brother in the U.S. Senate. She too is planning to enter the race. The filing period closes next Tuesday, July 28th.
