Former college and NFL football player who's now serving as a deputy in the Upstate has recently received high honors. Former Clemson D-End Malliciah Goodman who now works for the Anderson County Sheriff's Office has been inducted into the Chick-Fil-A Florence Athletic Hall Of Fame.
Goodman is a Florence native and was a High School All American there in 2009. He chose Clemson over offers from SEC schools and is 3rd on the all-time career forced fumbles list.
He was drafted in 2013 by the Atlanta Falcons and spent three seasons there, before leaving for Seattle for a few months and returning to Atlanta in late 2016.
He spent part of 2017 with Jacksonville before the end of his playing career. Goodman has served with the Sheriff's Office for the last four years.
