A former Marine from the Upstate is facing child sex crime charges. The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office says, Eric Blaine Powers sexually abused the same underage victim from 2011 through 2017.
Powers reportedly served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 2003 through 2008, achieving the rank of Sergeant. Powers is charged with 1st and 3rd degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor.
