A former Upstate high school football coach and restaurant owner died in a collision Tuesday. 61 year old, Bruce Alton Clark of Chesnee was killed in a crash that happened around 5:45 Tuesday evening. The crash happened in Spartanburg County on East Main St in Duncan, in close proximity to Clark's restaurant Game Day BBQ.
Clark led Boiling Springs Football from 2008-2012, the program was 15 games over .500 in his tenure there. He operated his restaurant following his retirement from the school system. His son Josh said in a social media post Tuesday " We are heartbroken and still trying to absorb the shock of no longer having him here with us".
