A former employee at an Upstate based medical transport service is accused of taking part in a nearly 2 million dollar Medicare fraud case. Officials say, Misty Dawn Woody falsified documents while she was employed at Vital Care EMS in Anderson County.
Officials say The alleged scheme happened for a period of over three years between 2022 and September of Last Year. Woody was indicted Tuesday on three counts of making false statements in a healthcare matter.
