Fountain Inn man arrested following car search

Multiple charges for a Fountain Inn man following a traffic stop.
The Laurens County Sheriff's Office reports that on Tuesday deputies saw a vehicle leaving a known drug area.
Deputies pulled over the vehicle for a defective tag light and asked the driver, Dante Zachius Wheeler, if they could search the car. He agreed and the search found a stolen gun, 259 grams of methamphetamine, and 96 grams of marijuana.
Wheeler was then arrested and charged with charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Possession of a Stolen Pistol, Possession by a Violent Felon, Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime, and Receiving Stolen Goods.
