Five towns in the Carolinas and Georgia have made an exclusive national list. HGTV recently released its list of most charming small downtown areas in America.
Greenville was named to the group which has become routine, as the crown jewel of the Upstate has made several similar lists.
The Coastal town of Conway known for its close proximity to Myrtle Beach also was highlighted. Concord, North Carolina which is synonymous with NASCAR also appeared on the list.
Two Georgia towns also garnered the honor, including Athens the home of the University of Georgia. The mountain town of Dahlonega known for its "down home" feel also earned a spot on the list.
