The man who led Furman Men's Basketball to a historic season is set speak during the commencement at another Upstate University. Paladin Basketball Coach Bob Richey will deliver the address during North Greenville University's ceremony. Richey is an alumnus of North Greenville and graduated from there with honors in 2006.
This past season, Richey led the Furman men to their 1st SoCon Tournament Title since 1980 and first win in the NCAA Tournament since 1974. His .720 career winning percentage is 11th among active coaches, nationally.
The commencement ceremony is set to be held at Younts Stadium on campus at North Greenville University, Friday.
