A special meeting was held Thursday night by the Greenville County Republican Party to elect a new chairman, vice chair, and state executive committeeman after the previous election results had to be thrown out due to a number of voters who weren’t properly credentialed.
At the end of the night after nominations and voting, only the chairman race saw any opposition.
Jeff Davis was elected to the chairman position in a 79-26 vote against nominee Pedro Mateo.

Pressley Stutts was elected unopposed to the position of state executive committeeman, though he was not at the meeting in-person due to illness.
