The 10-year-old German Shepherd/Belgian Malinois mix, born in the Czech Republic, joined the Greenville County Sheriff's Office in 2017.  He specialized in patrol duties, including tracking, apprehensions, and illegal drug detection.

Throughout his prolific career, Micky completed more than 1,300 deployments, located thousands of grams of illegal drugs and assisted in 397 arrests. In one notable incident last year, Micky was stabbed by a suspect during an attempted arrest.

The Sheriff's Office is honoring his incredible service as Micky begins his well-earned retirement — living out his days with his handler, Sergeant Alex Edwards.
