A suspect is in custody following a shooting in Greenville Thursday afternoon. The Greenville County Sheriff's Office says, a man called and reported that he had been shot by someone he knew.
Deputies then responded to the area of Ghana Drive and Blassingame Road around 4:30 PM. Sheriff's Office Lt. Ryan Flood says, Deputies located a suspect who had sustained visible injuries and was then transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Following the shooting, Deputies were led to the Assembly View Apartments where they took a suspect into custody without incident. The Sheriff's Office has not yet released the suspect's identity, nor have they announced charges in connection tot he incident. We plan to have more on this story as new details emerge.
