A man described as a dangerous fugitive from Georgia was apprehended earlier this week in Western North Carolina. The Swain County Sheriff's Office says Amauri Brown was located Monday in Bryson City.
The GBI had notified Swain County deputies that Brown was believed to be in their area. Brown was wanted in connection to a drive by shooting in Georgia that left two people injured.
Brown is being held in Swain County and is expected to be extradited back to Georgia.
