South Carolina's Senior Senator is fighting a subpoena to testify in Georgia over his involvement in Donald Trump's attempted challenge, to his less than 12,000 vote loss to Joe Biden in the Peach State.

Graham's lawyers say, he wasn’t seeking to interfere in Georgia’s 2020 election when he called state officials to ask them to re-examine certain absentee ballots. That followed Donald Trump’s narrow loss to Democrat Joe Biden.
Graham was one of a handful of Trump advisors named in petitions filed last week by the Fulton County District Attorney's Office. Graham's legal team is arguing that he has sovereign immunity from state procedures, pertaining to his job as a U.S. Senator. A judge here in South Carolina will decide whether Graham is a material and necessary witness and whether the subpoena should be issued.
