Greenville County Deputy injured in weekend crash

An Upstate Deputy is injured after a being involved in a crash over the weekend. The Greenville County Sheriff's Office did not identify the deputy, but says he was rear ended while in his patrol vehicle while responding to a report of a suspicious person.

The crash happened around 8:20 Saturday night near Harrison bridge Road and Harrison Oaks Drive in Simpsonville. The deputy was transported to an area hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. The Sheriff's Office says, the occupants of the other vehicle were not injured. There's been no charges announced stemming from the crash.
