Greenville County man charged with breach of trust, forgery

The S.C. Law Enforcement Division announced the arrest of a Greenville County man in relation to forgery and stealing money.
David Tyler Hoover, 47, was charged with two counts of breach of trust with fraudulent intent and three counts of forgery; a release from SLED said he took campaign money and forged documents. Arrest warrants state he stole from the Holcombe for House campaign and the Tommy Smith for Sheriff campaign.
The release further said the SLED investigation was requested by Senator Dwight Loftis.
Hoover has been booked at the Greenville Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the 13th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
