Dianne Mitchel, the President of Greenville County Republican Women, joined Tara Friday morning to discuss the ongoing transgender students in women's sports debate taking place at the state capitol.
A proposal Mitchell and her organization have been in support of recently passed committee that would ban biological males from competing in school sports against biological females.
However, the current proposal, as it is currently written, doesn't hold full Republican support due to how restrictive it currently is. Opponents argue that college teams in the state may be left unable to play if other teams have a transgender athlete or protest the law.
