An Upstate woman has pleaded guilty in a human trafficking conspiracy. The US Dept. of Justice says 34 year old Brittany Danielle Cromer of Greenville pleaded guilty to federal charges for her role in the sex trafficking operation.

Evidence showed that Cromer worked with co-defendant Eric Rashun Jones of Newberry to prostitute women for financial gain. Jones reportedly used force to coerce the women into performing sex acts for money.

Court documents say that Cromer knew what Jones was doing and helped facilitate the conspiracy by handling many of the financial tasks in the operation. Cromer and Jones are accused of preying on vulnerable women who had been abused or were drug dependent.

Jones was convicted last Summer and is awaiting sentencing. Cromer has not yet been sentenced but faces a maximum of life in federal prison.
