It has been a contentious time in Columbia in recent weeks, after reports surfaced of 1.8 billion in state funding found in an account and nobody knowing who owns the money.
Since then, State Senator Larry Grooms and Treasurer Curtis Loftis have been squaring off. The verbal jousting continued as both men joined the Charlie James Show on Wednesday, as Grooms went 1st.
When Charlie asked Grooms if he thought Loftis and former Comptroller General Richard Eckstrom were working together to hide this, Grooms said "They both knew about the account and didn't diclose it, so yes I am saying that". The Grooms full interview is below.
State Treasurer Curtis Loftis then got a chance to respond. Loftis says Grooms and others in the General Assembly have an agenda behind the accusations against him. Loftis said "They want this 1.8 billion and will do anything to get it". The interview with Loftis is below.
