
The weekend saw protestors take to an Upstate city seeking gun legislation reform. Dozens gathered Saturday afternoon in downtown Greenville, marching from North Main Street to Peace Center as part of a gun control demonstration.
The event was organized by an Upstate teenager who was the speakers at the rally. The Greenville protest was one of dozens around the the U.S. over the weekend. Many people attending the Greenville rally are members of the Facebook Group, South Carolina For Gun Reform". That group has about 700 members and advocates for changes in gun legislation.

About a dozen people spoke at the rally, including Cassie Moore. She's an educator and librarian from Seneca, who voiced displeasure with the idea of arming teachers. The crowd chanted vote them out in response to speakers criticizing state legislators who they feel have been inactive in gun legislation reform.
