One person was hospitalized after a weekend hiking accident in Western North Carolina. The Linville-Center Rescue Squad responded to the area of Grandfather Mountain, just after 1PM Sunday.
A search ensued and a Black Hawk Helicopter was brought in to help with rescue efforts. Officials say, a hiker was found after falling from a ladder on Macrae's Peak. The hiker was airlifted to a hospital, there's been no word on the severity of their injuries.
