Two employees at an Upstate fast food restaurant is facing charges for allegedly purposely contaminating someone's food. The Union Police Department says the incident happened May 30th at the Wendy's on North Duncan Bypass. A customer reported their food had been spat in after they sent their food back and asked for a refund.
What was supposed to be a remade order ended up being the same order, but a worker had spat in it and taken out of the trash. 19 year old Trinity Lashell Rice and 23-year-old Aaliyah Shuntai Sanders was arrested following the incident. They are both charged with malicious tampering with food.
Police say, a 3rd employee was also disciplined by the restaurant for their alleged involvement.
