Human remains found in Greenville over the weekend have now been identified.
On January 23, the remains were found in a wooded area near the Greenville County Detention Center.
The Greenville County Coroner's Office reports the remains were identified as 43-year-old Lisa Marie Hagerty.
The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office sent out a release on December 28, asking for the public's assistance in locating Hagerty.
According to the release, Hagerty was released from the Greenville County Detention Center after 8 p.m. on December 8 and had been missing since. The report further said Hagerty was endangered due to a health concern.
It is unknown at this time if her death was due to that health concern. The cause and manner of her death are still under investigation.
